Sources should be visible and proportionate
The more consequential or changeable a claim is, the stronger and more current its evidence must be.
Source hierarchy
- Dubai and UAE authorities, official operators, project owners and original datasets.
- Technical organisations, peer-reviewed research and named subject specialists.
- Established secondary reporting used for context or independent scrutiny.
- Commercial and community sources used only where their perspective is itself relevant and clearly identified.
What a source record includes
LivingDubai records the publisher, document or dataset, URL, access date, claims supported, geography, applicable period and any limitations. Data stories additionally explain transformations and calculations.
Source does not mean endorsement
